Alexander’s goal was to unite as much of the known world as possible under one banner. His characteristics were compassion, leadership and much more.

What, in Plutarch’s opinion, makes a “great man”? Is Alexander great? According to Plutarch a great man was someone who changed the world forever. In Plutarch’s opinion Alexander was a great man because he united a lot of the known world. Alexander was, in my opinion, a great man. That is why he is called Alexander the Great.
