week 6: How much money won’t I have at age 70 if I keep watching TV?

How much money won’t I have at age 70 if I keep watching TV. According to Wikipedia the average American watches 2 hours and 33 minutes of TV every day. This means that pretty much 10 percent of your day is spent watching TV. Right now in Illinois the minimum wage is 14.00 dollars an hour, let’s say I am sixteen (even though I’m only twelve) if I work at minimum wage for five hours a day I will make 70.00 dollars a day. If I work at minimum wage for five hours a day five days a week that means I will make 350.00 dollars a week. that means I will make about 84,000.00 dollars a year. If I keep this up I will have made 756,000.00 dollars by age 25. By age 50 I would have made 1,512,000.00 dollars. If I keep working until age 70 I will have made 5,880,000.00 dollars. I watch about 2-3 hours of TV every day, if I decide to get a job instead of watching TV than by age 70 I would have 5,880,000.00 dollars ( not including tax’s, mortgage or anything else ).

Is TV worth it? Well if you had the decision to every day watch TV or get a job. I don’t know about you but I would rather get a job. In fact a couple weeks ago I started a lawn care business with my brother. If you focus on the things that will help you in life, not that TV is bad but I think there are more useful things that you could do with your life, you could be “rich”. So no TV is not bad, unless you watch too much of it, but it’s not the most helpful thing to do with your life.
